ROOT DOWN BUILDING COLLECTIVE (RDBC) is a collaborative group of building professionals and enthusiasts, committed to delivering architectural services for projects focused on creating climate-smart structures. Our goal is to offer educational classes and workshops, consulting, research and development, and additional support for any project that promotes sustainability and equity.

RDBC recognizes that achieving long-term, sustainable, and equitable housing solutions requires a holistic approach. The issues fueling our current housing crisis are complex and need to be tackled through various avenues. To create homes that are both carbon-negative and equitable, we must consider building materials, construction methods, as well as the policies and regulations that oversee them. We are adopting a collaborative strategy, partnering with an expanding network of regional professionals and stakeholders to promote regenerative, bio-regional building materials and methods through ongoing research, development, pilot projects, and beyond.
